SunWOOOW

For sure the beat sound producing-editing-modular-high-libido-teaser app. Buy this noone will be unaatisfied!

Simply awesome

One of the best modular synth software with embedded tracker I have seen so far. It looks really complex at a first look but it has so many options and customization potential that its amazing how it could fit into few megabytes of source. MUST HAVE!

A full featured tracker-based DAW in your pocket!

If youre new to trackers, theyre like step sequencers in spreadsheet form. Give it a try! If youre an experienced tracker, this tool will be your new best friend. So many great features, and the UI has been designed for both small and large screens.

My Only Regret...

...is not buying SunVox sooner!

Outstanding

This app has been around for a very very long time since Palm Pilot days. The author is very talented and is still supporting this app and adding features after all these years. It is deceptively powerful and you can achieve a wide variety of sounds with all the synth, sampler, and effect modules, especially when combining them with the metamodule. The greatest feature is that this program will seemingly run on anything from supercomputers to potatoes. This is the only program I have where I can take a project from my phone, to my tablet, to my main rig, to an old netbook and the experience will transfer seamlessly. There will be a learning curve if youve never used a tracker before, but its well worth learning.

Wow.

Absolutely incredible music creation software.

On its own planet

An unconventional but highly rewarding combination of a modular synth and sampler environment, together with a tracker recording studio.

Runs on Everything

I honestly wont be surprised when Sunvox comes out for the TI-83

Amazing and runs on slower devices

...the best part of this app for me is having something this versatile that works smoothly on an iPad 2 that is a bit slow. Im gonna try it on a old MacBook and see how that works... Overall the workflow is great. Its like a mini, basic (in comparison) lightweight Reaktor. Nowhere near the depth of reaktor but sunvox continues to surprise me the more time I spend with it. Ive had fun learning sunvox. Rewarding experience!

SunVox

Alrighty... Ive put in around 35-40 hours just messing around with this program, and I am completely in love with it. Its the first tracker Ive used, and after 17 years of messing with Reason and Fruity Loops, it was a bit difficult to grab onto... but by the first night, I had 3 project files full of sounds and patterns and now Ive even started what I hope becomes a full track once I copy it over to the PC (which, with SunVox is a snap and great, since the PC/MAC version of it is FREE FROM THE DEVS WEBSITE!!), and keep messing with it, maybe integrate it all over into Reason, or do what I want to do within Reason and FL and move it into SunVox... Im not sure, but its definitely something thats easy to bring into your current line-up of music creation tools, especially if you play around with iOS apps, as this lets you copy and bring over sounds from other apps (how friggin cool is that?!?). Long story short? I cant stop gushing about this app, and I cant stop messing around with it. The range of ideas it has the potential to set loose in your head is astounding. If youre even the least bit interested in modular synths and/or trackers, this is easily one of the best in the AppStore.

Best iphone tracker around

B+

Love this app

So many possibilities. So much coolness. Especially if youre a fan of chip music. Ive even done a record solely with this app.

Insane!!

I absolutely love this app because it goes so in-depth in creating music, and I also love the look and feel of the app. Keep up the good work!

composing on the go

the desktop version of the app has the same interface as the mobile one. this is the best tool i have found yet for sketching out ideas on the go and then fleshing them out back at home. dropbox support would be amazing!

excellent app and program.

Ive been using Sunvox on my pc for a while now and absolutely love it. Its powerful, versatile, and intuitively designed. Users of lsdj and the like will also feel comfortable using Sunvox. I am currently running Sunvox on my iPad and am really impressed by it too; perfect for being able to take it all with me. I use a little bluetooth QWERTY keyboard on my iPad however and am wondering if any sort of support will be added for bluetooth qwerty keyboards. It would be nice to have the same sort of control (in that sense) as I do on PC. Anyway, i really love this app and if you are a musician or chiptune enthusiast I am sure that you will too.

Its amazing, and it keeps getting better.

Alexander Zolotov is some sort of twisted genius. Hes taken the modular environment of Psychle and Buzz, and given us a tracker, but with a fully triggerable timeline. The result? Madness. This thing can do just about anything, except give me back all the hours I spend in it, lol :) There is a learning curve, but spend some time with the tracker, and it quickly becomes apparent that Sunvox really is the most powerful single music app in the App Store. ...but it also plays nice with others, via Audiobus. Alex is also beginning to build in IAA support, so the future looks bright for Sunvox. Join the community at warmplace.ru

Gets better and better

Ive had this since the 1st version, and Ive spent tons of hours writing with it. With the new update the sound quality has improved immensely. Very inspiring sounds and flexibility. The workflow takes a minute to get used to, but its pretty great. Still my favorite music making app in iOS land. Update: even better. Sounds much better now. Id love to see a square wave in the generator at some point, and possibly even a multi generator (2 oscillator) module. Also a simple 1 step undo would be very useful. Im loving it, my favorite app by far. Old review: It is indeed the deepest most fully functional electronic music making app on the iPhone. If you are a fan of electronic music making and dont mind the tracker interface, its a no brainer. So far the only issues are certain commands take a few tries to be responsive (stop and link are among them). Plus I ended up in a synth edit window with no way out because the iPhone info (reception, time, etc) was where the resize function would have been. Otherwise it seems to be working great.

Buy it.

Easily one of the best, if not the best, music making apps on the iOS platform. Essential.

amazing!

complex, haunting, points towards the amazing new frontier which defines iOS music apps. I always come back to this for inspiration. Go AZ!
